Pat and I have been involved with Sunday Line ministries for over 15 years serving Bernice and Velma, founders of Sunday Line, in the last eight years of their lives. Previously I pastored at Seaview Assembly in White Rock and at Broadway Church in Vancouver helping to establish outreach ministries such as the Warehouse, to the marginalized in the area. I also serve on the board of Summit Pacific College in Abbotsford. As a retired Certified Management Accountant with a background in business, I am able to bring a broad scope of practical experience to the ministry.

Pat is gifted with hospitality and compassion and uses her nursing skills to bring care and encouragement to the elderly and those in need. We are both active in Joy Fellowship, a ministry to people with mental or physical challenges.

Dan and Mardell MacTavish:
Global Workers and Pastoral Care

For the last 38 years Mardie and I have served in various ministry capacities in Mexico, Spain and, most recently, as associate pastors in Romania since 1986. Based in White Rock, we are privileged to serve this community as part of the ministry team of Church in the Park. We continue our international involvements six months each year at the Bucharest International Church as well as coming alongside national leaders of the Salem churches in Spain.

As well, we bring awareness to the very real problem of human trafficking in Romania by providing encouragement and financial support to Iana Matei of Reaching Out. Iana works in the international arena in her efforts to bring an end to human trafficking and to provide shelter to the young victims.

Our children are dispersed throughout the world; our oldest daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren live in Madrid, our son in New York and our youngest daughter and husband have recently moved from Philadelphia to Seattle.

I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I recently moved to Canada on a soccer scholarship, studying Business Administration with a speciality in finance at Trinity Western University. In 2010 I graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a Sports Science Degree; the following year I graduated with a Sports Management Honours Degree at the University of Pretoria.

I became a Christian at the age of 13 and dedicated my life to living by the Word of God. I have a wonderful family, who support me in everything I do. I have been playing soccer for many years and received many opportunities to study and travel abroad. God has blessed me with a gift of playing sport and I intend on using that to glorify His name. I've been blessed to have met many wonderful people who have helped me, supported me and also impacted my life and I am truly grateful to God for what He has done in my life.
